Yvonne Joyce Craig

Yvonne Joyce Craig (May 16 1936 - - August 17 15th, 2015) was an American dancer, dancer, and choreographer. Craig is most well-known for her appearances in Batman's television series from the 1960s Batman and Marta who played an Orion slave girl wearing green skin, in the Star Trek 1969 episode "Whom Gods Destruction". The Huffington Post referred to her as "a pioneer in female super heroes" on TV. Yvonne Craig was born and was raised in Taylorville, Illinois. In 1951 , her family relocated from Illinois to Dallas. In Dallas, she attended W. H. Adamson High School in Dallas as well as Sunset High School. However she didn't finish her education because she had only "one credits for PE". Craig was recognized by Alexandra Danilova (a ballerina and teacher) and was accepted into the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo in 1951, becoming the youngest corps de ballet member.
