Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian actor and singer. Her most well-known role is on American TV's Law & Order where she was the prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons and Crossing Jordan for six. She has also acted in films such as RoboCop 3 and Most Wanted, and the independent film Chutney Popcorn and The Acting Class which is the latter of which she wrote and co-directed. Hennessy was a native of Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, her father was a meat-salesman, as well as a marketing/sales executive. His work required a lot of travel, which resulted in many moves for the entire family. Maxine Her mother, also known as Maxine passed away in 1982. Her daughter was left in the care of Eleanor her paternal grandmother. John Paul Hennessy Jr. has a younger brother, as well as Jacqueline who is a twin. Jacqueline works as an anchor and journalist on an upcoming Canadian television show. Hennessy is from Irish, French and Swedish descent, with some Ukrainian Roma and Austrian ancestry. She was a student at Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was her graduation. She used to busk in the subway system of Toronto. Hennessy and her sister were the first to act as twin call girl in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's sister, revealed that she was shortlisted for The X-Files for Dana Scully's part. Hennessy also played the role of Dr. Marie Lazarus on RoboCop 3. In 1993, Dick Wolf signed Hennessy to play the role of Claire Kincaid assistant district attorney in the show Law & Order. The role was played by her for three seasons before leaving the show in the year 1996.
