Pom Klementieff
Pom Klementieff, a French actress was
born on the 3rd of May 1986. She trained at the Cours Florent drama school in
Paris and has been featured in such films as Loup (2009), Sleepless Night
(2011) and Hacker's Game (2015). She appears as Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic
Universe films Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), Avengers: Infinity War
(2018), and Avengers: Endgame (1999). Pom Klementieff was the child of a Korean
mother, as well as an American-Russian father. Her father was a consul of
Quebec City, Canada. Eugene Klementieff, a painter was her great-grandfather.
Since it sounds like the Korean words for "spring" or
"tiger" Her parents named their daughter Pom. Klementieff resided in
Canada for a time of one year, before her family went on a long trip because of
her father's work. They resided in Japan and the Ivory Coast, before settling
in France. Klementieff's father, who died aged 5 of cancer was also her mother.
Also, she was suffering from schizophrenia , and could not care for her kids. Klementieff
was raised with her paternal uncle and aunt. Her uncle, whom she said in her
own words as "like [her] first father," died on Klementieff’s 18th
birthday. Her brother, who was younger, died seven years after his death. This
time, it was on her birthday, which was on the 25th. Klementieff was able to
attend law school following the passing of her uncle, however she was not able
to find this career path appealing. Also, she worked as an waitress in France
as well as a salesperson. She began acting when was 19and attended the Cours
Florent theatre school in Paris. It was only one month into her studies when
she won an audition for a stage show that gave her two years of class with the
school's best teachers. Klementieff was the first actress to perform professionally
in the independent French film Apres lui (2007). She played the step-daughter
of the protagonist, Catherine Deneuve. The production of the film took three
days. One scene featured Klementieff pushing someone down a set stairs, but she
fell. Gael Morel saved that scene for the final film. Loup (2009), an French
film about Siberian reindeer herders, was her first significant role.
Klementieff was filming at the middle of a camp located at a distance from the
closest village. The camp was where temperatures plunged to zero.
