Rita Ora, a British musician and singer. Rita Sahatciu Ora was born in 1990 in Pristina (Kosovo) to Vera (Bajraktari) and Besnik Sahatciu. She is the daughter of director Besim Sahatciu. Her family moved to the United Kingdom at age 1. She was born in West London, attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court and graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School. She started singing when she was a teenager. In 2004, she appeared in the British film Spivs. After a successful audition for Eurovision Your Country Needs You (BBC One) She was selected to represent the United Kingdom in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. She eventually walked out of the contest after several episodes, feeling that the stage was not in good condition. Ora has released her first album in 2007 when she appeared on the song of Craig David titled "Awkward" Then she made a second appearance on "Where’s Your Love" featuring TinchyStryder. Ora began singing in bars around London. A few days after, Ora flew to New York to meet Jay-Z An A&R representative informed Roc Nation about Ora. Ora was featured in Jay-Z's video from 2009 for "Young Forever" and "Over" from Drake. Jay-Z noticed Ora and then sat down to sign her with Roc Nation. She was featured in a commercial featuring Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. The singer began her singing career in the same pub where her father, Besnik, was a pub owner. She credits Gwen Stefani as a major influence in terms of demeanor and No Doubt's "Don't speak" (1996) is among her top songs.Her 2016 video for Tezenis, The Silk Code, is the title of a novel that received the Locus Award for Best First Science Fiction Novel in 1999.She was thought of for the role of Iris West in Justice League (2017) before Kiersey Cymons was cast.
