born in Los Angeles in 1970. Her parents moved to Dallas soon after she was
born. She educated at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and
Visual Arts located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas. She completed her
BFA in acting at Stephens College, and also attended the British American Drama
Academy. She spent six years at Dallas Theatre Center as well as one year with Encore
Company. Before she made her big screen debut, she started her acting career in
the theater. Her credits on stage include "As You Like It", “A Funny
Things Happened on the Way to The Forum" "Measure for Measure",
and "Chicago" along with as many other productions. Her breakthrough
performance was opposite Angelina Jolie in Michael Cristofer's highly acclaimed
HBO television series Gia (1998) making her famous to audiences and critics,
alike. Elizabeth showcased her charismatic performance abilities following
Frequency (2001 featuring Dennis Quaid) and Neil LaBute's sci-fi time travel
film Nurse Betty ((2000) with Rene Zellweger). Elizabeth Mitchell is an actor
who has a long list of credits, including TV series, movies and theaters. When
she was filming Frequency ((2000)), she injured her nose. In 1994, did Hertz
Rent-A-Car commercial but "they pulled it because of the O.J. thing."
In 1995, she lived with her boyfriend David Lee Smith (ex-Brent on the soap One
Life to Live (1968)) in Manhattan's Upper West Side. Parents are real estate
and tax lawyers with their own firm located 5 blocks away from their home in
Dallas. After a lengthy run in the theatre as Rosalind and then returning to
the U.S. after having been in Europe for a while. She was born in Los Angeles,
California in the year 1970. Her parents later relocated to Dallas in Texas. In
1991, she graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for Performing and
Visual Arts, situated in the Arts District of Dallas. She graduated from
Stephens College in 1991 and received a Fine Arts Degree. The actor was in Man
and Boy (2002) alongside Ioan Gruffudd. It was telecast on BBC 1 TV in March
2002.
